Random thoughts abound.....

Like, how I finally figured out what time dimension I work and live in.   You know how there are "dog years" where for every 1 year we live, it's 7 years for a dog...Well, I figured out that for me it's the complete opposite.  For every 1 day that a normal person can accomplish something, it takes me 7 days.  With deadlines and things that need to be done, such as getting an order out or getting my child to school on time, I can actually jump dimensions and transfer to the speed of light.  But when it comes to things with no deadline, such as mailing out a card or putting things up on Etsy, it's the "1 to 7 ratio" speed.   But I think the most important thing I need to do with this new sense of time and space realization is to readjust my expectations of tasks that I think I will accomplish in one day, set to the same measure of time as the "1 to 7 ratio" Because once I realize that I will never get all that I think I will get accomplished in a day, we will ALL be so much happier.

Here's a bracelet that I made as a gift for a huge birthday party we went to this weekend.  I wish I had the picture ofthe earrings and the giftwrap I did....because it was pretty cute if I do say so myself! 

I did a special order of my "Come Alive" collage for someone. I think I'm going to make more of these for Etsy. 

Here are some gift bags that I did for my Etsy shop....but I hate the pictures and have to figure out how to get better pictures before I list them.....

I can't believe it's been a week.....

since I last posted.  Wow.  Time is sure flying around here.  It feels like just yesterday I had Andres walking around in one short leg...... Anyway.....More chaos than usual over here in the Chaos household.  Lots of drama going on in the last week. I won't bore you with the details. But it involves a 20 year old niece, a broken heart and lots of tears.  She arrived two weeks ago to live and go school and is now packing to head back home...... (I am going to have to do a separate post on being 20 and actually having the time and leisure to spend all day crying over a boy instead of bills, cranky children and mortgages.....ahhhh those were the good ol' days!)

One of the things that I intended to show was the pictures I took at the concert we went to on Sunday.  Unfortunately, I only had my camera phone so it fails to show the awesome seats and view we had of the stage.  We had 3rd row seats to a REO Speedwagon, Stray Cats, Pretenders, ZZ Topp line up.  I seriously have not been that close to the stage since the Billy Squire/Foreigner doubleheader in '82.  And, my ear drums thank me profusely......I swear my ears are still ringing.  We met up with a bunch of friends from Cosme's work and laughed at how they started the concert at 5:30pm and ending at 9:30 for all us "older" fans.   Remember when we used to go to concerts that didn't start until well after 9:30?!?  hahahahahah HA.   Not anymore, folks...... not anymore.....

I've been working on some special orders which has been fun and trying to get some other projects done so I can get them into Etsy.  I have a bunch of stuff I'm doing for my sisters. So I will show you all of that when I get it done.  Part of the problem is a husband who has been on my back to clear off my desk so he can put more supports under it.   I have no idea why he can't just work around me....he claims he's a professional....who knows.  Anyway, everytime I clear the desk off he takes to long to get to it and I start just "one little thing"  which leads to the desktop being covered every square inch.  It's his fault.

What a Party......

First off, can I just show you what happens when you party over at Kari's blog and then scramble around the house getting ready for the beach....... I put Andre's swim shorts on and then preceded to get everything pulled together for the beach.  Towels...check.  Sunscreen....check.   Boogieboard.....check.  Child with both legs in one section of shorts....check.  Unbelievable.  He literally walked around like this for a good 10 minutes until I really noticed that this was how the shorts were on.  When I would give him a cursory glance while he was lopping along like a weeble that wobbles attempting to get from room to room in one hole of the shorts, I thought it was just that he didn't like the netting that was in the swim trunks.....It wasn't until I took a much closer look that I discovered what I had done.   I love the way he holds the book up to his face as if the paparazzi is shooting a picture of him for best and worst dressed.   Wel,l at least I noticed it before he had to walk in the sand.........

Ok.... here are some pictures of other things.  Like the picture of the collage I bought from Jill at her new Etsy store.  All I was doing was checking out her new store and adding her to my favorites when this jumped out at me.....It's very fitting for my life right now.  I love the way she uses color.  I just love it and have it sitting in my studio.

I've also been working on some new things for my little shop.  These are little shirts for twins......

Well it's official.......

Etsy does not...I repeat...does not....provide nanny services with their store front.   Sadly, I discovered this after exhausting every avenue with them.  So, I did as any desperate for crafting time mom would do........I totally ignored my kids for an entire day.   Oh, I made sure that they were fed and clothed......but other than that, they were on their own with an endless supply of videos and toys.   Carlos kept coming up to me and asking...."so mommy.....I can keep watching tv?"....."I can go on the computer as long as I want?"...."wow. This is the bestest day ever!"....

So, here are a few of the things I accomplished to FINALLY start stocking my Etsy store.  Because as I have discovered.....That store ain't gonna stock itself!.......

Also.....I am so behind on returning emails.  I feel so badly about it because I love to return all the messages I get.   But with all this crafting frenzy and ignoring children going on I haven't had a chance.  So if you hven't heard back from me, I'm not being rude.  I'm just have my head buried in glitter.

It's Midnight Madness at the Chaos Blog!

Actually, it's 10:30 madness.  Although, by the time I'm done with this post midnight should be just around the corner.   I know I promised that I would pick the names for the box and earrings today. And, technically it still is Wednesday....... But I do feel bad that I didn't have a chance to do it earlier.  Most of my day was spent running around town with my niece getting her settled in.  She just arrived yesterday and is planning on going to school here.  And, then, Cosme, the boys and I just got back from nightime Seaworld. We put one very sleepy and cranky 2 year old to bed and the other was just reminded of an impending dental appointment tomorrow and went into full meltdown mode.  Starting with "it's not fair".....and ending with "I don't want to go".....and in the middle somewhere was "Other people have shiny teeth. Why can't I."   It sucks big time.   Anyway, here are some pictures of the fun evening.....

Note the different outfit on Cosme.  It's the $40.00 "I got soaking, dripping wet on Journey to Atlantis" outfit.  It's all the rage.   

So of course I wanted to do something totally fun and cute to pick out the names.  But given the fact that the CEO of Tomfoolery is sleeping right now, I will have to use the random number generator.  But I'm too tired to take a picture of the one on the computer....so I will resort to my OTHER number generator.......Cosme.   I told him to pick 4 numbers between 1 and 59............ok.....first one is 1.....second is 10......third is.......16.....fourth is 56.

*Why did I think when I opened my Etsy shop that a full time nanny and housekeeper came with the deal so that I could finish projects to put in there.  I swear I read that in the fine print somewhere......

* Picture of the beautiful collage I got from Jill at JillyBeans aka Follow your Bliss.  When I saw it I knew I had to have it. The words are very fitting for me now.

* The continuing saga of having to downsize my desktop.  The shelving idea above the desk isn't going to work when I realized that I would need a forklift to access anything on there. And frankly I NEED all my stuff on my desk.  Cosme's just going to have to reengineer it. 

* Pictures of journals and boxes I have been working on.

*Pictures of the onsie/burp set I did for Donna over at Under a Red Roof, as well as, the new designs I did for Etsy......
