Because everyone needs a bit of excitement at 4:00 in the morning........
Look what we woke up to at 4:00 am this morning! It isn't our house....it's our next door neighbor's. My husband's truck was in the path of destruction though. This guy managed to sideswipe a parked Jeep Liberty....... crash into the back of Cosme's truck, propelling it 10 feet from where it was parked.....and then careen himself into the front porch of our neighbor's house.......completely detroying her front porch pillar.
The suspension and transmission of Cosme's truck were also wrecked along with the back end. It's Cosme's knock-around truck. However, it can only take so much knocking around.
I know....I know.....you're asking yourself right now..."why is it that Karin gets to lead such an exciting life and I don't" Well, it's just luck of the draw folks.....the luck of the draw. We got to watch as the guy was led through the steps of a sobriety check and then subsequently arrested. Then, after all the neighborly chit chat was finished and information gathered, we went home and watched tv for an hour (do you even know what's on at 5:00 am? Well I do. And it looks like I can make $8,000 in one day by using my computer to start a website that requires absolutely nothing from me in the way of work. I'm getting started on it as soon as I finish this post....) and then went to bed before having to get up in an hour and a half to start the day. Yawn.
I'll be back with more later today......

hah!!! do you even WANT to know how many vehicles have veered off the road into my yard...LOTS...our brickwork on the porch is knocked off on BOTH sides, i'm sure that the second one was someone being considerate re: my need for symmetry...just more stuff on hubby's never ending seldom read to do list...oh, but guess what? after ten {i think ten} long years the kitchen is scheduled to be finished this month!!!

You sure do lead an exciting life! But no thanks, I'll pass on trucks crashing next door!
I guess it's lucky he didn't hurt anybody. Oh hey informercials are a worldwide thing. On free-to-air TV there is NOTHING on in the middle of the night and I am so happy to have pay TV while i am working away!!!

Thats it. I'm moving to your neighborhood where life is way more eventful than mine.
My personal favorite at 5 a.m. is the fitness infomercials. NOT!

Oh my! That's the kind of excitement one can live without, isn't it? That's the kind of excitement I used to have all the time when I lived in apartments when I was first married. Lots of windows breaking and weirdos knocking on the door in the middle of the night and once a car even exploded (yes, really) in the parking lot of our apartment building! Oh yes, and helicopters shining their floodlights into our little patio to find runaway criminals! I don't miss that kind of excitement! :D I realized I hadn't visited your blog in a while and then I figured out it was because I don't have you listed in my favorite blogs on my blog! Now how did that happen? You are definitely one of my favorites!! So I fixed that and added you on. :) Now I'm off to explore your blog and see what I've missed!

Ah, yes! I remember that kind of excitement when we lived in our first apartment.....it's like watching a taping of the show Cops. When we moved way out in the country I thought that would be over.....Not!! You wouldn't believe all the people veering off the road right into our yard! Fun stuff!!! ;)

OMG....only you! Can you imagine how drunk you would have to be to do such a thing?? WOW. I figure it won't be long til you can buy Cosme a one-ton 4-door diesel with dualies and you have the drunk guy to thank for making you rich enough to afford it! They show that stuff at 5 a.m. because they want to keep it a secret. Well, you've outsmarted them!!

Hello there Karin, oh yes that is very exciting, how much can you earn with your computer?? Oh no...I mean the car crashing thing, glad to know someone else has an adventure filled life! I am surprised though that you didn't buy an abcurler exercise machine or my favourite the tuxedo painting system where you can paint the ceiling of your house in a tux and not get any on you!, very nearly bought that one, but thankfully the children stopped needing to be feed at some ungodly hour of the morning and if I am up at that time I am crafting or on the computer, probably could do with that ab curler now though!!
