I present to you..........
Homemade Buttercream Frosting.......
plus poundcake from Costco.......
plus marshmallows .........
plus some food coloring......
Equals............
A LEGO BIRTHDAY CAKE!
and
One Happy Lego Crazy Kid......
Too funny about these cakes....I thought about how I was going to construct these cakes for days. I finally came up with the poundcake/marshmallow combo. Of course I took full credit for the design all day Saturday for all who asked about the cake....once again thinking I'm so beyond genius there isn't even a word for it. Then today before I wrote this post I came up with the bright idea to Google "Lego Birthday Cake".....and VIOLA! Look what I found..... A Lego CakeTutorial. Not only can't I take credit for it.....but they look way better than mine! Oh well.......Carlos loved them and that's all that matters!
Now we're off to celebrate my Husband's Birthday tonight.......which happens to be the same day as Cinco de Mayo! Talk to you later! Karin

Karin what a great Birthday cake.
You are way to clever.
Looks Like Carlos loved it.

What a cute idea to make lego cakes...you are SO clever!!! Hey, isn't Friday the BIG day at the courthouse? Would you believe I marked MY calender for YOUR jury duty so I wouldn't miss out on hearing all the details!!!!
I watched Judge Judy today and her courtroom was filled with the usual suspects who bought gifts for their girl/boy friends and then oddly enough had nasty break-ups after which the scorned lovers suddenly decided that their gifts were actually loans ~ don't they ever learn????? The best one was the mother who loaned money to TWO former boyfriends of her 16 yr old daughter. Have these people NEVER watched the show before?????

I think they look super, and I feel sure it earned you a Number 1 rating.
I know my little grandson would love them, too. After all, buttercream makes all things delicious.

Too cute! I won't even check out the google one, your's is fantastic! I love pound cake, and drool over the ones at Costco. I don't dare buy them, because I know I would be the only one eating all three!
