Chaos Update

Hi All, This is Heather with a Karin update.

Her surgery went pretty much according to plan this morning. She was out and in recovery by noon and last I heard was going to be released to go home and sleep in her own bed tonight. The good news is that the surgery went well. There was some spreading into lymph nodes which was not entirely unexpected. From what I understand she will have an MRI in a week or so to make sure they got everything they could and her chemo will start in about 2-3 weeks.

The boys are with friends and grandma. I am out of town now and will be checking in with her when I get back and give you all another update.

I am praying for you Karin! My Grandmother just went through the same thing. She just finished chemo and radiation and is now cancer free!!! We are throwing a surprise party for her to celebrate her life in a couple of weeks!

I've just recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, had my surgery and am waiting for chemo. I'm a working mom with busy kids. Cancer certainly does suck but the treatment is doable. Take it day by day, I know what you're going thru, I know. Go to breastcancer.org and read some of the disscussion boards, there's a thread about the cancer "hell" and it will definetly give you a chuckle! Stay strong and eat some chocolate!

Karin, I didn't know since I haven't been around much. I'm so sorry. I know it's going to be a long process but you can do it! My mom is a breast cancer survivor and the people who helped her through it were wonderful. I'm sure you'll have wonderful people. I'll say my prayers!
