Well, first and foremost, we all managed to survive "Blackout 2011....the Harrowing Tales of Survivors without electricity for 12 hours." And, six of those hours for us were spent sleeping. To listen to all the media you would have thought the entire southwestern sea board was set adrift in the Pacific Ocean for 30 days and nights. All the headlines screamed "We're you prepared!?!"....."Did you survive?!?"... "Was life the same without Facebook?!?" The only thing at risk was all the food in my refrigerator....including everything I just had bought at the grocery store 5 minutes before the power went kaput.
Anyway, that night I was just about to do a post on this......
A cordless hot glue gun! Cordless! I just love when my friends really know me. Randi and Michelle got it for me because they know how much I love my glue gun. Now, with a cordless one, the possibilities are endless. I could theoritically wear it everywhere I go. At any given time or place I would be ready to glue objects to other objects. Sigh...my life feels complete now.
So imagine how I must have felt when I realized that I could craft all night long with my "non electrical" glue gun. Of course that excitement was tempered when I realized that the sun wasn't going to be shining all night and at some point I would be working in the dark. Funbuster husband wouldn't go along with my grand idea of paper crafting by candlelight.....mumbling some sort of nonsense about firehazard....ridiculous....go to bed......
Whatever....
Anyway, in the following days of the crazy blackout, I finally made some progress on my Halloween tree and house.........
Off to Paper Tales to get these babies on the calendar! I'll talk to you soon! Karin

only you would make a pink haunted house look scary! Fabulous! :)

Could you clip that glue gun to your jeans so you could have it everywhere you go??

Karin, I love how your house came out, great ghost! I know, we barely made it through the blackout. Thank goodness for candles and monopoly! The media made it sound like we'd be without power for days. Sheesh!
Take care,
Martha
