and a day of relaxing work at Paper Tales, makes for a late blog post. Teaching 5th grade was fun and exhausting. It was the first time teaching that grade.....I think I've got it down.
Anyway, I have a few pictures of the little birthday cupcake boxes I created. I made some kits for my Etsy. In the meantime, I'm working on some classes for Paper Tales. One of them is going to be a Hoarders Anonymous class where everyone will bring their own paper in and actually use it in a project/journal that I come up with.
Apparently this is a big problem with many of us crafters. We "buy" and then "hoard." Somewhere along the way, we manage to eliminate "create something" from that equation. It's ridiculous. So one of my intentions in this New Year (which by the way is slowly moving from New Year to Mid Year) is to use my stash instead of just lovingly looking at it. Who's with me ?!?!?
Ok....I have to run...the boys have a day off of school and we are going to enjoy the sunshine! Talk to you soon! Karin

merely looking at it?? Girl, I can't even find some of it to look at :)

I LOL'd when I read your post today. It is so true. I buy buy buy...and all the while carrying it around the store (prior to checking out), I'm thinking of everything I plan to do with all the stuff....well, you clearly know the rest of the story :) I find I do the same with shoes :) Oh, and I have a 5th grader. SCHEW!!!!!
Have a great weekend!

Not being able to part with things is a problem...one I have to struggle with, a lot!

OMG! You have talked about my little problem so clearly. I absolutely love buying new paper and goodies and I am not even talking about the beads. I wish I were near Paper Tales. This is not the only class I would take!
Hugs,
Suz

I am a terrible hoarder (including my 2 kits from you-sigh).They're so pretty-I take them out and look at them, fondle the goreous flowers, read all my instructions-and put them right back.I'm so afraid I'll mess them up.I'm going to be strong this weekend and make my "cupcake".But I have been very very good this CHA-I have not pre-ordered a single thing.

Just beautiful and a no calorie cakes too. I know what you mean and that is what I am doing with my papers. I seems that two years ago I was buying papers and paper pads ( I was buying for lost time. I was making up for 10 years that I was not crafting or buying), but now, I need to create. That is what I am doing this weekend with a fellow crafter.
Thanks for sharing your amazing work.
