because we have been doing things like the first rollercoaster ride at the beach for a certain 7 year old. Here he is after getting off.......
I then asked him "how was it?!?" To which he responded, "AWESOME!!" Then I asked, "Are you ready to ride it again?" His reply....a flat out "No."
He did ride it two more times after a short Crazy Submarine segway and a ice cream break.
It's been a busy one this summer. Here are a few of the highlights......
Redecorating the boys' bedroom with a twelve year old who when asked to finish cleaning his room resembles a a deaf snail on valium who recently emerged from a coma who shuffles in circles while nodding his head to his Ipod. Things did pick up when Ipod was removed from his possession and threats of "never playing on the Wii for the rest of his life" were delivered.
Trip to Knott's Berry Farm where I felt like I was on valium after emerging from a coma after one go around on the Silver Bullet. The twelve year old snail and his snail friend went on it five times......
Five of us moms setting up the equivilent of a homeless encampment on the beach so children could frolick in the ocean and boogie board all day on the waves. This lasted approximately 30 minutes before two children were slightly touched by a jelly fish and the five others were suddenly "too cold" to go back in. Three other seven year olds were completely unaffected as they were building the sandcastle of all sandcastles next to us.
Making fake cupcakes for the Paper Tale's Shop Hop became an obsession of epic proportions as I realized my true calling lay in Plaster of Paris and faux frosting.....
Celebrating 20 years of marriage with my husband......
Ugggg....typepad won't let me put anymore picture in my post. Ok....until next time! KArin
