Gifts are on their way......

Well........they are wrapped and addressed and ready to be sent to their new owners Pam, Tina and Christiane (who, by the way, won THREE drawings.)!!  The Valentine giveaway was so much fun!!!   A big thank you to everyone who stopped by!   In all the excitement, Stephanie told me that I had won over at her blog. This is what I won!!!!!  I am so excited I can hardly stand it !  I never win anything. Never.  It's very sad, I know....but this will definitely make up for it.  I have also been working on updating my links.  I was so mad.  I was adding and adding and adding.  I then went over to check the my list (that had by now quadrupled in size) on my blog.   The only new name was the first name I entered.  "How could that be!?!?!?",  I asked myself.   Well....let me tell you ....it can easily be when you don't add the links correctly and you just click the wrong button.   So, anyway, I still need to add a bunch more.  I was to tired to start over last night. 

So my assignment for the month, besides following artsymama's cabinet of curiousity prompts, is to use all the paper and stuff I currently have.  I decided that I have to use what ever I have before I can go out and get anything new.  Of course, that doesn't count the paper and stamp pads I bought at Michaels on Friday night (where the cashier proceeded to BEND my scrap book paper to make it fit in the too small bag. Bend. Bend scrapbook paper....ok, that's a whole other post on "where do they hire this people?" "along with "where is the work ethic in retail today") or the stuff I am going to buy at the scrapbok store today or the beads I am going to get with my gift certificate.  Other than THAT....I am ONLY going to use what I have.   Well I am off to the post office......See you later!

 

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

Actually we have 3 winners.  In the frenzy of name picking, I decided to pick one extra name........I couldn't help it. It was like Las Vegas here this morning with all the excitement (well.....without the gambling....drinking....smoking... tacky clothing...or bad lounge singing.  Other than that, it was exactly like like sin city)  The boys had a lot of fun picking the names.  However, there were some glitches.  Such as Carlos wanted to pull out a boys name.  Then he wanted to know where his name was. And then he wanted to give away one of his Lego sets as a prize.  After some discussion regarding Legos not being included in the prize packet, we were finally able to start the drawing. 

Now, I have to say, the child who went through the complicated training program did not follow the rules very well.  He was under the false impression that he was to pick up all the slips of paper that he could on the first pick. Then he wouldn't put them back in the bowl. 

He then got extremely confused and thought he was supposed to pick "blocks out of the box"  instead of "names out of the bowl."   I'm sorry to say he was demoted and then subsequently fired after throwing the slips all over the living room floor.  It was an unfortunate incident. 

However the drawing continued with my back up name picker...Carlos.  He did a fine job and will probably be hired on permanently.

And Tina won a gift to be determined.....but I think it will be another pair of earrings. 

There was then much dancing and singing over the winners who were picked.   The dancing is actually still continuing as I type.  Both want to know when they can do it again.  I told them I would have to contact the temporary agency where I hired them and I may or may not be in touch.  I will, however, be in touch with the winners to get their snail mail from them to send them their gifts. 

   

All in all....THIS WAS A BLAST!   I am so happy to have "met" so many wonderful blogger and artists.  It has been so inspiring and heartwarming to see all the sharing going on.  I am very excited to continue visiting all the other blogs that I have discovered.  And I hope you all will continue to visit my little space here in blogland.

Wow.......wee........

I am just blown away at the response to this Valentine Giveaway.  I did it on a whim and am so surprised how it has spread like wildfire.  What a blast!  I was thinking when I posted my givings I would be pulling two names out of the hat....my husband's and someone I made up...like Myrtle McFarland or something.  The outcome would have been pretty anticlimatic..."Honey, look, Mrytle won!!!! Oh wait. I forgot. I made her up so people would think someone entered and read my blog. Nevermind."   

So in light of all the awesome responses, I am added another pair of earrings that I whipped up last night to throw into the giveaway frenzy. I will pull two names on Friday!   Speaking of pulling names....I am soooo hoping lady luck plops her butt down on my couch Friday,  because I am entered in some really good offerings!  Oh boy, there are soooo many talented artists and crafters out there.  I am going to be really busy the next couple days adding links to my blog.

Valentine Giveaway........

I was over at Stephanie's blog and she is participating in a Valentine giveaway started by Arttealife. She is giving away two pieces of art and encouraged others to do the same. I thought that sounded like a bunch of fun. So I said.... SURE! I want to do it to.  I then continued to lollyblog over to other blogs.....then realized I better get over to my blog and post the pictures of what I want to give away for Valentine's Day before fellow bloggers come over looking for a giveaway. I don't suppose folks would just trust that I have something to give away...I thought that they might like to see it.  So here it is.....two valentine ornamnents and a pair of handcrafted earrings from yours truly.   Just leave a comment in the comment section and on Friday, February 2, I will pick out a name.   Ok....now I am going to head on over to the other blogs.
