My week has been as disorganized as my desk.......
So, of course, I expected to post everyday with witty stories, amazing creations and a completely organized studio that I was able to accomplish with all the extra time on my hands. Ha! The desk today looks no different than when I took the picture of it early in the week. I'm chalking it up to the first week of school. Kinda like going away to your first week of college and over partying and drinking because you have all this newfound freedom. Except the only difference is I didn't drink or party......I just squandered my time relaxing.........
(My picture for Pink Saturday)
Here's the breakdown:
Tuesday:
8:00 am ..... First day of school. Lots of excitement dropping off children to respective schools. Come home. Proceed to talk on the phone all morning to friends, Gail & Jennifer, about all the time I have on my hands to get things done; thereby, squandering all the time I have to get things done.
12:00....Pick up Andres. Get nothing done the rest of the day.
Wednesday:
8:00 am.....Second day of school. Drop children off to respective Grandma and school. Meet Jennifer for coffee and proceed to chit chat for 2 1/2 hours about all the time we have on our hands in the morning now that respective children are all in school all day; thereby, squandering all the time we have on our hands that morning while children are in school day.
12:00 pm...Get Andres from Grandma. Get nothing done the rest of the day.
Thursday:
8:00 am .....Third day of school. Drop off children. Come home and take a nap. Hook up new printer. Drink cup of coffee. Realize everything I wrote in my "first week" journal entry will now have to be moved to the second week. Decide to do it tomorrow.
12:00 pm..... Pick up Andres. Get nothing done rest of the day.
Friday:
8:00 am.... Drop off children. Attempt to accomplish everything I was supposed to do in the last week in the next 3 hours. Determine it's impossible. Write blog post about getting nothing done; thereby, feeling like I got something done.
So there you have it. I totally blew my first week of freedom. But I've got big plans for the second week. Big Plans.....
In other news of things I actually accomplished, here are the pictures of my Sunday with Melissa Francis at Paper Tales. SO MUCH FUN.........
Here's Melissa telling us what to do.......
Here's one of Melissa posing with me even after I butchered the project....I'm serious. No. Really, I am. Let's just say I won't be asked to be on the design team any time soon. But it really wasn't my fault........
It was Dana's! We sat together and talked so much that I wasn't even getting anything done. We have been blogging back and forth for quite some time and finally got to meet. She is so funny, nice and talented. After the class ended, we plopped ourselves on the comfy Paper Tales couch, noshed on pink cupcakes and talked for another hour. Funny thing is....she live just a couple miles from me. What a small fun world!
Then get this....Take a close look at the picture below. See the gal in the far right corner of the picture? Yep....she was wearing the same dress that I had on. Can you believe it!!!! I told Michelle to ask her to leave. Michelle said I was being completely ridiculous and sit down. I begrudgingly seated myself across from her....giving her "just who is your stylist" glances..... and then proceeded to become fast friends....
hee hee....even Melissa wanted a picture of us together...
Ok....this was hysterical.....we spent the better part of the time trying to figure out how to measure in 8ths.....we all agreed that our degrees were either in art or english and in no way should we be expected to do math equations while working on a scrapbook......
Michelle, Melissa and Helle......
As good as they looked......
Alrighty.....I'm am signing off so that I can get things done today.....I've got alot of catching up to do....Talk to you soon! Karin
