I need to stop the madness......

 

Take a good look at this tree.  It's the reason I still don't have the tutorial written up.  It's 10:00 pm and I am just now brushing the glitter off my lap.  

It's insane. I can't stop myself.  I had every intention of posting the tutorial tonight so it would be up tomorrow while I'm working at Paper Tales.   I even told Diane today how I'm really not getting that much done this Christmas because I really want to spend time with the boys.....

 

No sooner than I get home from school with them, make glitter and cheese pizzas, I am lured back into my craft room by a crepe paper tree......

 
 
And, two lucky boys got to watch Toy Story 3 with popcorn and lemonade.  Cries of "You're the best, Mom!" were heard from the family room and around the world.....Yeah, I know.

Tutorial on Sunday...I promise.....unless I make more trees....no.... I won't make anymore......I think.....See you on Sunday!

So many plans........

 
 

So little time.   I have to postpone the tutorial until tomorrow.  But I have a good reason.  I spent all day working on this.........

 

And, about forty other projects for Paper Tale's Holiday Open House.  This is the only thing that I finished.   Oh, I take that back.  I finished this too.....

 

Unfortunately, there were supposed to be five more of those where that came from.   Not to mention, all the unfinished little cake boxes and ornaments that may never see the light of Christmas 2010.   It's ok, though......at least I have a head start on next year.   

The important thing was to get this tree done for the store.   It's my Christmas gift to Paper Tales.  I'm really happy  with how it turned out. Although, I'm not completely sold on the white flowers.  After I put the glitter on them, I felt like they were still too white.  So I tried to mix up a concoction of paint that would give it an antiqued softer look.   I don't know......

 

sigh......

I'm also teaching a class on Sunday for my mini "Let it Snow" cake.  So if you are around on Sunday come join us!  I adore this paper from My Mind's Eye......  

 

Ok...I have to get to bed.  It's 10:30 and I'm done for the day.   I'll get the tutorial up by tomorrow evening.   I have all the pictures taken so all I need to do is post it.   See you tomorrow!  Karin

I'll be back tomorrow with a tutorial for the crepe paper trees!   But I'm not sharing my Peppermint Bark.  It's not that I don't want to..... I just can't.  I already ate the whole bar...... See you tomorrow!

With a giveaway!  I found some cards I had made last year with some of my all-time favorite paper.  I think it's from October Afternoon?   What ever the case, I wish I had some more of it.  It has that perfect combination of aqua and red....plus polka dots.  Love it.

And in addition to the "Home Sweet Home" journal........

 

I've added a glittery candy cane heart ornament........

Mine is the Lindor truffles and Ghirardelli peppermint bark.....and pumpkin pie.  Oh, and egg nog.  I love egg nog.  Well, it's really not the holiday's without mentioning homemade sugar cookies.....and pecan pie....Oh my gosh, how can I forget mexican hot chocolate  with tons of whipped cream.   Ok.  I think that's it.  Except for maybe the leftover Halloween candy that I turn into "holiday candy" by pouting into a decorative santa bowl.    Oh, and the chocolate chips that I bought to make chocolate chip cookies......

So what's yours?   I'll do the drawing on the 12th so there is plenty of time for it to get to you before Christmas.....Talk to you soon!  Karin
